Bed Sheet

This is a Bed sheet. It is dated 16th century and we acquired it in 1994. Its medium is linen and its technique is bobbin lace insertion sewn between pieces of linen to form a sheet, withdrawn element work around the outer edges. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Museum purchase from Sarah Cooper Hewitt and Pauline Cooper Noyes Funds and through gift of Mrs. Edward Stern.

H x W: 275 x 192 cm (9 ft. 1/4 in. x 6 ft. 3 9/16 in.)
