Tray (USA)
This is a tray. It was made by Wallace Bothers and manufactured by Weidlich Brothers Manufacturing Company. It is dated ca. 1928 and we acquired it in 1995. Its medium is silverplated brass. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Radiating lines, as on this silver-plated tray, were a strong feature of late 1920s design. Weidlich’s use of silver plate made this striking design element accessible to a broad market.
