This is a Decanter with stopper. It was manufactured by Boehmische Manufaktur. It is dated 2007 and we acquired it in 2009. Its medium is mouth-blown engraved glass. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Throughout most of its history, the glass firm Lobmeyr has engaged outside designers who work in other media, including artists from the Wiener Werkstätte such as Josef Hoffmann and Oswald Haerdtl. From 2007, Lobmeyr collaborated with Ted Muehling, a New York–based designer of jewelry and decorative objects.

It is credited Museum purchase through gift of Dale and Doug Anderson, Anonymous Donor, Arthur Liu, and Prairie Pictures, Inc. and from General Acquisitions Endowment Fund.
