Manhattan Vase

This is a vase. It was designed by Ulrika Eleonora Matilda (Ulla) Procopé and Raija Liisa Uosikkinen and manufactured by Arabia and decorated by Elli Räsänen. It is dated 1957 and we acquired it in 2011. Its medium is molded, glazed, hand-painted porcelain. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mathew Weaver. It is credited Gift of Mathew Weaver in honor of his mother, Lenora J. Nelson Weaver.

H x diam.: 23.5 x 11.1 cm (9 1/4 x 4 3/8 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside: stamped in black: stylized crown logo/ARABIA/MADE IN/FINLAND/KASINMAALATTU/HANDMALAD (export mark, 1949-1964). Incised mark: 382/3
