Frieze, The Child World

This is a Frieze. It was made by Ideal Wall Friezes and distributed by The Prager Company, Inc.. It is dated 1912 and we acquired it in 1982. Its medium is chromolithograph print on paper. It is a part of the Wallcoverings department.

It is credited Gift of Louis Risner.

This small stuffed animal dog is sitting down with its head tilted upward and tongue partially sticking out. It has short, small ears, and black nose and dark eyes. It is reminiscent of a golden retriever puppy, with light, fluffy, golden-brown fur. It has a red handkerchief around its neck with black and white paisley decorative pattern.

A photograph of a waterpark attraction. The scene is sunny with clear blue skies and visible clouds. Centered in the photograph is a vertical waterpark attraction taking the shape of what can be described as a hybrid of a tree and a treehouse. The base of the attraction is shaped like a trunk. Right above it is an elevated platform where visitors can step in. On top is a large tilted barrel with a continous flow of water, cascading and splashing throughout the structure. The attraction is decorated with toon-like shrubs, branches, and hanging monkeys. Surrounding this energetic scene are children interacting with the splashes of water. A woman on a blue wheelchair is close to the cascading water on the left.
