Heirlooms, created by romantic cubist painter Albert John Pucci, was an early Associated American Artists textile design released by Riverdale Fabrics as part of the Country Fragrance collection in 1953. (1) The design features an assortment of antiques, including oil lamps, porcelain figurines, and elaborately framed mirrors on a blue-green ground.
This design in a blue-green colorway (5826.26.2016) is also presented for consideration.
There are currently two examples of Pucci’s work in the museum’s collection: textiles called Harvest (1994-38-9) and Duck Blind, 1953 (1994-38-11).
