Mural Detail, The World of Radio, 1934

This is a Mural detail. It was made for Jessica Dragonette. It is dated 1934. Its medium is cotton and its technique is wax resist dyeing (batik) on plain weave.

Behind the nose of the U.S. Navy airship is the RCA Building, as it was known from 1933 to 1988. As its ownership changed over the years, it has been called the GE Building and the Comcast Building. However, it is most often referred to as 30 Rockefeller Plaza or just 30 Rock. It is most famous as the location of the NBC television network.

It is credited Gift of Nicholas Meredith Turner in memory of Jessica Dragonette.

This object was previously on display as a part of the exhibition The World of Radio.
