Bright red cane with pyramidal support at the tip. The handle is shaped like a T, with one side angled upward and shorter than the other. The ends of the handle are silver. Just below the handle, on the long body of the cane, is a shallow vertical divot in the cane. A third of the way down is a round, silver button that appears to help adjust the height of the cane. Just below this, the bottom part of the cane appears to fit inside the top part. There are two notches on the bottom part of the cane. The tip of the cane is made of three strips of non-slip material that curve to form a pyramidal shape. They have raised grips.

Prototype, Walking Stick System (Coral), 2015

This is a prototype. It was designed by Michael Graves Design Group. It is dated 2015. Its medium is aluminum, polypropylene, tpe, tpu.

These canes are part of a walking stick system that addresses important functional criteria: self-standing, hands-free carrying, storage, easy retrieval, and non-slip leaning. They are designed as a kit of parts that allows the user to mix and match the various components—handles, colors, and tips—giving the user more options and confidence.
