Two silver squares, about a square foot of area each, made of a single strip of brushed metal tubing with curved edges. The tubing is meant to fit in your hand. Each edge is secured to the wall with supports of the same material that stick a couple of inches from the wall. Closest to the wall, there are round discs of the same material around each support. One square is attached to the wall just above the other. The lower one has two hot pink silicon additions. The first is a shelf, which connects the bottom edge of the square to the wall. The second addition appears to clip onto the back of the right edge of the square. It has two short edges that stick out perpendicularly from the bar, and the right side has a wider end than the rest of the addition, much like a nail. The background is white tile.

Prototype, Shower Trellis Grab Bar with Shelf, Sprayer Holder, and Hook

This is a prototype. It was designed by Michael Graves Architecture & Design and manufactured by Moen Inc.. It is dated 2016. Its medium is stainless steel, polypropylene.

Clunky grab bars are often afterthoughts installed for safety. When redesigned as an elegant square frame, the Shower Trellis Grab Bar serves diverse needs and generations: multiple touch points to prevent slipping by both adults and small children, a footrest for shaving legs, a shelf for shampoo and soap, and a place to hang a brush.
