Textile, Red + Green, 1987

This is a Textile. It was created by Richard Landis. It is dated 1987 and we acquired it in 2018. Its medium is mercerized cotton double weave.

Red + Green is composed of imperfect grays—not the neutral grays achieved by combining black and white, but rather de-saturated colors, created through mixtures of the complementary colors red and green—here a range of olive and khaki greens with rosy taupes and ruddy browns.

This object was donated by Richard Landis. It is credited Gift of Richard Landis.

Its dimensions are

H x W: 49.5 × 31.8 cm (19 1/2 × 12 1/2 in.) H x W (mat): 59.7 × 41.9 cm (23 1/2 × 16 1/2 in.)
