The edge of the leather binding at the spine joint appears lightly wrinkled and loose. The center of the cover is decorated with overlapping bars and geometric shapes. Black horizontal- and vertical-lined white rectangles, along with red and dark gold ones, overlay two circles; a dark gold circle at the top right corner of the assemblage and another smaller circle, in red, at the bottom left. At the center is a silvery white, vertical rectangle with a decorative vine and leaf motif.
