Mirror

This is a Mirror. It was designed by Paul Fehér. It is dated ca. 1930. Its medium is wrought iron, brass, silver, gold plating, glass.

This monumental wrought-iron console and mirror won top prize at the 1931 May Show at the Cleveland Museum of Art, though it remained unsold in the Rose Iron Works studio as the Depression took hold.

Horizontally rectangular iron railing. Winding floral patterns fill the structure, with varying sizes of flower petals throughout. At the center of the railing is the letter H, surrounded by several borders, including a white, ovular border comprised of white squares all around it, then a horseshoe-shaped border in black, then a U-shaped border underneath of iron, with repeating open O-shapes throughout the horseshoe.
