Object ID #907214289
This is a Pair of Candelabra. It was designed by Kem (Karl Emanuel Martin) Weber. It is dated 1928. Its medium is pewter and ebony.
This pair of candelabra marries a modern aesthetic with traditional craftsmanship. The abstracted floral motif exhibits Weber's familiarity with European design. The candelabra may have been purchased at Barker Brothers, where Weber was Design Director and Blanchard sold his metalwork.
It is credited Lent by Yale University Art Gallery, John C. Waddell Collection, Gift of John C. Waddell, B.A. 1959, 2012.124.13.1-.2.
