Wide deep bowl with a repeating pattern of parakeets, all facing one direction. The pattern slightly protrudes out of the glass bowl’s surface creating a three-dimensional effect. The bowl is made out of glass. The birds are in front of a floral background composed of an arrangement of small flowers and branches in different directions. The bottom part of the bowl is frosted making this section more opaque than the rest. The upper-portion has an iridescent color reflecting blue and green hues.

This is a bowl. It was designed by René Lalique. It is dated 1931. Its medium is glass.

Both this bowl and necklace feature a row of parakeets. René Lalique repeatedly featured birds in tablewares, lamps, jewelry, hood ornaments, statuary, and more. He finished his work to a high quality standard, employing polishing and wheel-carving to enhance the sophistication of his molded and pressed designs.

Tall, slightly flared footless vase of clear glass with ten paneled sides. On two opposite sides are five handles. The handles are spiral-shaped and remind of the tendrils of climbing plants or of young, rolled up, fiddlehead fern leaves, that seem to arise from the base of the vase. They are arranged in a graduated series of declining size, with the largest one at the top of the vase. They are stacked, touching each other. While the body of the vase is clear, the handles appear frosted with a satin finish, and oblique grooving on their underside. The vase appears made of molded and cut glass.
