Brochure, New York American: The Way to Reach the Moderns
This is a brochure.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Smithsonian Libraries and Archives as part of The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s.
This promotional brochure for the daily newspaper the New York American appealed to business owners seeking advertising space. The paper claimed that by advertising in its pages a client would “reach the moderns,” pictured here as a fashionable couple silhouetted against a gleaming skyscraper skyline.
It is credited Smithsonian Libraries, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Library, F128.5 .N499 1920, Gift of George R. Kravis II.
