The background is inked in black, with irregular white margins around the petals and leaves. The flowers are in varying stages of bloom and face different directions. Their pointed, layered petals surround centers filled with feathery black stamens. The blossoms seem to burst forth from the long narrow curling leaves surrounding them. Long scaled flower buds are nestled among the leaves. The flowers are finely outlined, some shaded with hatched lines. Much of the foliage is outlined with dotted lines, creating texture in the design. There are faint graphite underdrawings, with [TOP] penciled in the top left corner.
