Medal, President's Medal of the Architectural League

The Architectural League was founded in 1881 by 26 young architects who wanted a space to develop their skills, offer lectures, and host exhibitions relating to the art of architecture. In 1926, Sarah and Eleanor were awarded the President’s Medal of the League for their contribution to design education. The sisters were the first women to receive this distinction.
