Coat Rack, Frosta Z Coat Rack

This is a Coat rack. It was designed by Andreas Bhend and produced by Andreas Bhend. It is dated 2012. Its medium is two ikea frosta stools (birch plywood, hardware).

IKEA’s famous flat-pack designs reduce the cost of assembling, shipping, and storage; the company relies on users to assemble products. IKEA hackers repurpose existing components into new designs. Andreas Bhend created this coat rack with parts from IKEA’s Frosta stool, a four-legged version of Alvar Aalto’s classic three-legged Stool 60 (1933). Bhend publishes his instructions online to encourage others to use his design and invent their own.

It is credited Courtesy of the designer.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 40 x 40 x 170 cm (15 3/4 in. x 15 3/4 in. x 5 ft. 6 15/16 in.) (Plus 2 Frosta Z's disassembled)
