This is a tile. It was made by Grueby Faience Company, Revere, Massachusetts. It is dated ca. 1905 and we acquired it in 2013. Its medium is press-molded glazed terra cotta (red earthenware). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Harry C. Sigman.

Its dimensions are

L x W: 15.6 × 15.6 × 2.2 cm (6 1/8 × 6 1/8 × 7/8 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside; impressed "Grueby Boston."
