Poster, Now Jump

This is a Poster. It was designed by Sulki & Min, Sulki Choi and Min Choi. It is dated 2008 and we acquired it in 2014. Its medium is offset lithograph on paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

Sulki & Min designed the graphic identity for an art festival celebrating the legendary Korean-American artist Nam June Paik, considered one of the pioneers of video art. At a planning meeting for the festival, one of the participants noticed that the title of the festival, Now Jump, featured the initials of the artist. The designers were inspired by this coincidence, and modified the typeface Helvetica Ultra Compressed so that the three letters, “N”, “J” and “P” would stand out.

This object was donated by Sulki & Min. It is credited Gift of Sulki & Min.

Its dimensions are

H x W: 84 × 59.4 cm (33 1/16 × 23 3/8 in.)
