Pedro and Pablo Pair Of Bowls

This is a Pair of bowls. It was designed by Emiliano Godoy and manufactured by Nouvel Studio. It is dated 2012 and we acquired it in 2015. Its medium is mold blown glass. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

The simple shape of the Pablo and Pedro bowls belies the subtle texture and tactile quality of these beautiful mold-blown objects. The molds are created from volcanic stone native to Mexico, a material that saves energy during the manufacturing process. The green-blue color adds a feeling of lightness and translucency to the bowls, with the partial-gloss finish providing a degree of reflectivity. By seeking out sustainable materials and developing processes that rely on skilled labor and local materials, Godoy creates rich objects informed by solid values.

This object was donated by Nouvel Studio. It is credited Gift of Nouvel Studio.
