Paper Construction, ABC–3D, Letter U

This is a Paper construction. It was created by Marion Bataille and published by Roaring Brook Press. It is dated 2008. Its medium is cut paper. It is a part of the Smithsonian Libraries department.

Marion Bataille, a French graphic designer and paper engineer, employs cut paper constructions, sliding tab mechanisms, and glossy papers to create an innovative alphabet book in ABC–3D. Many letters, such the “U” pictured here, rise off the surface when the page is opened transforming the traditional flat surface of the book into an engaging 3-D artifact. ABC–3D cleverly explores the forms, relationships, and structures of the alphabet.

It is credited Collection of Smithsonian Institution Libraries.

Its dimensions are
