Rendering, Montpellier Apartment (L'Arbre Blanc)

This is a Rendering. It was designed by Pat McGrath and Sou Fujimoto Architects. It is dated 2014. Its medium is digital print.

Established in 2000, Sou Fujimoto Architects explores nature by way of highly structured, geometrical forms. L’Arbre Blanc is a planned apartment tower in Montpellier, France, that takes its shape from a pine cone. The building resembles an alien tree plucked from a work of science fiction. Its units burst outwards from a central core, uniting natural and artificial worlds.

This object was donated by Sou Fujimoto Architects. It is credited © Sou Fujimoto Architects.
