Wallpaper, from Archives collection

This is a Wallpaper. It was designed by Studio Job, Dutch, founded 1998, Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel and manufactured by NLXL. It is dated 2014. Its medium is non-woven wallpaper, matte finish.

These wallpapers from Studio Job draw from references that include the historical and the contemporary, the bizarre and the banal. Animal skeletons and gas masks, cooling towers and insects, kitchen utensils and Russian dolls, peace signs and syringes—all are fodder for these witty and sometimes sardonic patterns. The intricate surfaces manage to amuse, provoke, and inspire.

This object was donated by NLXL. It is credited Courtesy of NLXL.
