Specimen, Heldane typeface

This is a Specimen. It was designed by Kris Sowersby and made for Klim Type Foundry. It is dated 2014. Its medium is digital print.

From century to century, many designers have created new interpretations of the typefaces cut by Claude Garamond in France in the sixteenth century. Heldane is Sowersby’s muscular revival of this classic Renaissance idiom. The bold weights of Heldane demonstrate Sowersby’s distinctive ability to combine delicacy and strength. Sowersby is a leader in the field of typeface design; he offers his wares to the global design community through his Klim Type Foundry.
