Anatomik Earring, from Infinity Spring / Summer 2013 collection

This is a Anatomik earring. It was designed by Delfina Delettrez.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Delfina Delettrez as part of Beauty—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial.

It is dated 2012. Its medium is gold, enamel, silver, pearl.

This single earring depicts an eye, nose, and mouth, attached to each other and hanging from a pearl that enables the earring to hang from the wearer’s ear. The eye and lips are outlined in gold and filled with blue and red enamel. The nose is a three-dimensional, sculptural form, executed in silver. Delettrez is a fourth-generation member of the Fendi family, whose works are inspired by surrealism.

It is credited Courtesy of Delfina Delettrez.
