Nose Ring, from Spring / Summer 2016 collection

This is a nose ring. It was designed by Delfina Delettrez.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Delfina Delettrez as part of Beauty—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial.

It is dated 2015. Its medium is diamonds, white gold.

This nose ring hangs lightly from the wearer’s nose like a delicate diamond mustache. The piece is both elegant and provocative. Delettrez is a fourth-generation member of the Fendi family, whose work takes inspiration from surrealism.

It is credited Courtesy of Delfina Delettrez.
