Photograph

This is a Photograph. It was designed by Pat McGrath and photographed by Ben Hassett. It is dated 2014. Its medium is chromogenic print.

McGrath is heralded as a visionary in her field. She consistently redefines notions of beauty through bold use of color, embellishments, and dimension, demonstrating the transformative power of makeup. Her iconic designs use neon colors, gold foil, exaggerated faux brows, ridiculously long lashes, and more. She created jeweled masks studded with beads, sequins, and fabric for the Givenchy runways that were inspired by a tiny bead found at a Parisian flea market.

This object was donated by Pat McGrath. It is credited Courtesy of Pat McGrath and Ben Hassett.
