This is a 2nd generation garment: Fraulein dress and slip. It was designed by Christina Kim and manufactured by dosa, inc..

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from dosa, inc. as part of the Acquired! Shaping the National Design Collection and Scraps exhibitions.

It is dated 2007 and we acquired it in 2022. Its medium is hand-spun, hand-woven brocaded cotton jamdani scraps, pieced, reverse-appliquéd, embroidered, cut and sewn.

This object was donated by Christina Kim. It is credited Gift of Christina Kim.

Its dimensions are

H x W (Height back neck to hem; Width of skirt at hem): 43 × 27 cm (16 15/16 × 10 5/8 in.)
