Wing Bracelet

This is a Bracelet. It was designed by Arthur Hash. It is dated 2012 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is nylon. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

While most CAD based software is driven by data and number entry, Hash instead used haptic-sensitive hardware and organic modeling software to digitally “sculpt” the design for this 3D-printed wearable cuff. This allowed him to generate geometry and forms through subtle movements of the mouse and varying pressures of a stylus nib.

This object was donated by Susan Lewin. It is credited The Susan Grant Lewin Collection, Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 8.2 × 13 × 13 cm (3 1/4 × 5 1/8 × 5 1/8 in.)

It has the following markings
