Shield #3 Brooch

This is a brooch. It was designed by Sergey Jivetin. It is dated 2005 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is steel watch hands pressure fitted on fabricated silver frame. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Shield #3 is part of the series Time Structures, concerned with the concept of time and its interpretation by different cultures around the world. By using watch hands, Jivetin represents the multiple ways in which time is viewed by different people.
