Necklace, ca. 1975

This is a necklace. It was designed by Ronald Hayes Pearson. It is dated ca. 1975 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Pearson allowed the molten silver to suggest the final fluid forms in his highly polished, loop-shaped neckpiece, reflecting the modernist ideal.

This object was donated by Susan Lewin. It is credited The Susan Grant Lewin Collection, Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
