This is a necklace. It was designed by Rian de Jong. It is dated 2015 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is wood, beads, rope, polymer clay (porcelana fria). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Rian de Jong sails to exotic locations on her boat-studio and home, incorporating elements found during her travels. An accomplished jeweler, for this necklace de Jong used objects found in Chile during a South American voyage, as well as rope from her floating studio.
