Rambutan Ring
This is a ring. It was designed by Nora Fok. It is dated 2003 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is plastic, knitted, knotted and dyed nylon filament with black pearls. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Fok created this charming and playful ring based on the rambutan, a Southeast Asian fruit. The ring’s hair-like “follicles” are made of long flexible strands of dyed nylon monofilament.
