Necklace, Piece 13.1, from How Long Is Now collection

This is a necklace. It was designed by Jantje Fleischhut.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Jantje Fleischhut and Catherine Rose as part of Beauty—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial.

This brooch from Fleischhut’s How Long Is Now collection combines gold and Swarovski crystal with foam. This union of materials shows Fleischhut’s willingness to honor any substance.
