Working Prototypes, PLAY1 and PLAY2 interactive lighting

This is a Working prototypes. It was designed by Yeongkyu Yoo. It is dated 2015. Its medium is frosted acrylic, aluminum, wood, polycarbonate.

PLAY1 (2015) is an interactive light controlled by a small cube: shaking or turning the cube changes the light’s color and brightness; placing the cube on the base recharges it. PLAY2 (2015), controlled by a cylinder, connects with a smartphone to serve as a projector, light, clock, and more. These inventive pieces reflect Yeongkyu Yoo’s interest in spare design solutions that invite simple, physical interactions.
