Sidewall - Samples, European Wallpapers: Modern Designs

This is a Sidewall - samples. It was distributed by Katzenbach and Warren, Inc.. It is dated 1928 and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is machine printed on paper. It is a part of the Wallcoverings department.

This small color swatch is cut from a larger design of soaring doves and falling roses. The pastel colors and widely spaced motifs with no secondary pattern speak to modernism. The rendering of motifs in a flat and minimal style keep the design timeless and express the structural simplicity found in Poiret’s clothing.

It is credited Gift of Lois and William Katzenbach.
