Ikko Tanaka

Born at Nara City, Japan in 1930. Education: Kyoto City College of Fine Arts and Osaka Sankei Newspaper. He jointly established Nippon Design Center and became the art director in 1960. Then, he established Ikko Tanaka Design Studio and directed design of Government Pavilion (History of Japan) at Expo '70 in Okinawa and was the art director for Seibu Group. He has had retrospectives at Seibu Museum of art, Cooper Union, and Museé de la Publicité.
