Pottery. Established by John Harrison 1879 by the suggestion of Christopher Dresser, who provided designs for the pottery. Henry Tooth ran the pottery until 1882, and was succeeded by Richard Patey. Linthorpe was first pottery to use gas-fired kilns. Closed upon the death of John Harrison in 1889.
