Beth Forer earned a degree in Russian literature from University of Michigan, and a Master’s of Art in design from Pratt. She studied industrial design and then turned her attention to ceramics, using a traditional Japanese technique called “nerikomi.” Nerikomi is a method of laminating colorful clay. Forer now works at Eisner Design, New York, where she focuses on architectural sustainability.
