Eve Peri

Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, Peri work in New York as an abstract fiber collage artist. She produced works out of found textiles, which she collected during her extensive travels, and from friends. Peri learned to embroider as a young girl from her female family members. She modified her work to conform to the machine age, creating hand-woven fabrics for interiors, theater and fashion.
