Maryan Klomp

Maryan Klomp was born in Holland and studied at the Academy for Industrial Design in Einhoven, Holland. She worked as a freelance textile and carpet designer, and in 1974 became the executive manager and designer for Wikkel, a small independent company of casual clothing that produces many printed fabrics of original designs through its sibling company, Zeebra. Klomp’s prints are experimental, graphic and often feature unorthodox subject matter such as carp, marbles and stone carvings.
