Independent artist in New York since 1950. Taught at Black Mountain College in 1952, mounting first "happening" with John Cage and others. Worked with Merce Cunningham Dance Company as stage and costume designer and a technical director in 1960. A draft print for an object in an upcoming show. In the center of the print, there appears to be either Chinese or Japanese lettering imposed over several image. Below the lettering there is an image in red, blue and pinkish tones. The image contains several figues of men with different facial expressions and in different positions. This image is imposed over two other images on the right side. The image is in the top right corner is portraying a set of leaves in a circular pattern. Below this image there is a smaller image in what appears to be a man and a woman looking at each other. It appears they are dressed in a tuxedo and wedding gown so this might be a wedding which further supported by the image of a church on the left side of the image. From this image, there appears to be a ladder of squares which has three figures inside the center section. The first one is a banner, the second is a star and the third is a banner. At the bottom of the print there is text in black which reads as follows: 'These will be final colors. Proofs in larger size will follow. Correct Color.'

This white short-sleeved t-shirt has colorful screen-printed graphics, green chinese characters, and illustrations arranged asymmetrically on the torso. Two yellow rectangles, one vertical and another horizontal, are on top of each other and have white-ink ilustrations of feathers, stylized people, and a yellow box kite with squares and a star curving in the wind, protruding from underneath. The top box has green chinese characters on the left and right of the edge, and a line of characters where the two rectangles meet. This particular line of text overlaps across the blue box to the left which overlaps with the two yellow boxes, making a faded green effect. In the blue boxes are illustrations of people in white ink, and a faded red screenprint above that, laid inside the blue and overlapping with the yellow.
