This vertical composition shows a bust-length portrait of a bearded man. Below him on the blank page is identifying information given in all-capitalized Latin. His face appears youthful, with smooth skin. His head is turned just slightly toward the right with only, though his eyes hold center, appearing to look slightly to the left. His right eyebrow is gently arched, while the left one is slightly straighter and dipped downward at the bridge of the nose, giving him a focused, but slightly quizzical look. His mouth is relaxed, with the corners very slightly upturned, below a straight nose. His full and curly beard extends from the mustache and just below the cheekbones, falling about to his chest, covering his chin and neck. He wears a detailed hat, which appears to rest just on his hairline. It is tight over the scalp with an intricately woven pattern below a flat and somewhat softer edge, which sits at an angle, dipping down over his left ear, not visible. What he is wearing is partially visible from the section of his chest and shoulders pictured, and the garment appears to have many layers. The outermost is a short, caped section, which covers only the shoulders. Beneath, the garment has an opening at the chest, like a jacket, and is pleated on either side of this seam. The background behind him is lightly shaded with thin hatched lines.

A very crowded and densely populated outdoor scene, with a horizontal composition. Rendered in intense detail, this crowd is gathered before two classical-style buildings, with geometric elements, which stand in the upper right corner. The foremost section of the crowd are each depicted full-figure, and wear Roman clothing. A woman, at far right, stands with one arm raised outward and above her head, holding a wreath reminiscent of a laurel crown, which many depicted in the background wear on their heads. To the left, a group of soldiers stand, engaged with one another, wearing ornate helmets topped with griffins, wings, and other ornaments. One solider stands with his back completely to the viewer, showing his intricate torso armor, additionally decorated with lions, cherubs, and sphinxes. To the left of this group stands the nude figure of Titus, his long curling hair visible beneath his own helmet. He has fabric draped around his shoulders, and holds a long staff, topped with a circular face in his left hand. A women approaches on the opposite side, and his other hand is rested on the head of a kneeling figure, possibly a child. He is standing, barefooted, on top of a pile of ornately decorated shields. More soldiers approach from the left wearing armor, helmets, and wreathed crowns. Behind this primary group, a large crowd is indicated by heads and torsos layered to create the effect of a dense group receding in to the distance. Above the crowd are raised triumphant totems, poles carrying torso armor, emblems, and shields. A winged cherub reclines in the branches of a free above the crowd.
