Jiri Sibor was born in 1966 in Brno, Czech Republic. In 1984 he received a degree in Professional Engineering from the School for Engineering in Kurim, Czech Republic, followed by a graduate degree from the High Technical School for the Processing of Metals, also in Kurim in 1991. He pursued a career in engineering before he began exploring the field of art jewelry. Sibor's foundation in engineering is evident in his meticulously crafted pieces which feature an industrial, yet highly polished look. His work has been in numerous international exhibitions and can be found in many museum collections including the Museum of Arts and Design, New York, the Museum of Decorative Arts, Prague, the Ilias Lalaounis... more.
