Jessica Helfand (American, born 1960) is a designer, writer, and historian. She is a founding editor of Design Observer and the author of numerous books on design and cultural criticism.

Op-art pattern formed by splitting the word 'sustainability' into two parts and stacking the letters to form cubes with Sustain on top of Ability. Printed in red, black and white, the letter forms echo the optical background that shifts perspective. The color scheme follows white tops with red and black sides of the cubes.
