Born January 21, 1942, Martin Sharp is best known for his poster and album cover designs in the Psychedelic era, and is recognized as one of Australia's most prominent pop artists. He created designs for Donovan and Jimmy Hendrix, and his design for Cream's 1969 'Wheels on Fire' album won a New York Art Director's Prize for Best Album Cover that year. He is also active as a painter, cartoonist and filmmaker.
