BFA, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. 1980s Advertising and store display, Dayton Hudson group, Minneapolis. 1987 Relocated to New York. 1987-1990 Executive Art Director under John Jay, Bloomingdale's. created the in-house design department. Designed promotions, advertising campaigns, marketing programs and packaging. 1990 In London, redefined Conran's/Habitat brand identity. Created in-house design department. 1991 Founded his own company, Robert Valentine Incorporated, renamed The Valentine Group in 1995.
