Don Emerson Wight was a classically trained New York City artist and fabric designer. He studied at Alfred University and privately. He lived and worked in Greenwich Village (New York), the Netherlands, and Paris, France. His works have been featured in the Leslie Lohman Gay Art Foundation Gallery, the Museo Del Gayo, IDANDA, the Cooper Union Museum, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago. He was also associated with the Black Mountain College Arts Program.
