Liora was born in Israel and received her education in the United States, receiving a degree in journalism and drama from Georgia State University. She later enrolled in a textile design class at North Carolina State University which changed her career path and went on to earn a Master’s degree in both textile design and textile engineering. She founded her company in 1990 and began making rugs with a contemporary styling. She is known for her use of bold colors and vibrant patterns. In 2010 she expanded her product line to include lamontage wallcoverings and textiles.
